we need you

THANK YOU to everyone who came out yesterday to help with the bridge band album! I was humbled and thankful that so many people came and stayed for so long. Met some new people, saw some old friends and enjoyed some more time with the bridge band family. Lauren and I were so tired when we got home. I think we sang the equivelent of almost 20 songs from start to finish! I think we captured what we have always felt was missing when we would practice or record - the people! We always felt that when we were playing at the Bridge or Providence or Radiate, the people were the other instrument that we couldn't play. There is something about a group of voices - not just people singing but people connecting with what is being played and sung.

So thank you all again for coming out and contributing what we couldn't capture without you!

We need you!

Vashion

COUCH makes the greatest guitar straps! I own a few and can vouch for their quality and "cool" factor. They now make camera straps and wallets...they must be just as cool.

my day dreams

[thinking to myself whilst sitting at my desk]
“hmmm, I wonder if there are any animals in the world we haven’t discovered yet?
Like crazy ones way far deep in the ocean
Scary and cool that would blow our minds if we saw them
Or white/furry/zombie creatures up in the cold poles
Kinda like the polarroo (polar bear meets kangaroo)
Buried in some underworld under the ice and snow (like in the new “ice age” movie)
Or maybe there are winged, flying creatures way up high
That we’ve never seen
Because they never need to land
Kind of like the really scary fish way down deep never need to come up for air
The obscure birds never need to land on the ground
They just fly and fly and fly
Eating little insects and bugs that are way up in their solar world
And when they die they fall to the ground
And either burn up in the earth’s atmosphere before they hit the ground
Because they live so high up they gain so much speed on the way down
Or they are eaten instantly once landing on the ground because they are so rare
Or turkey vultures see them falling and eat them before they land
Or they are such a burnt carcass from the high speed descent that we mistake them
For meteors or lunar dandruff
But I wonder how they lay their eggs?
Do they lay them on their mates back mid-air and carry them until they hatch?
And then have an instant flying lesson?
Are there such creatures that we have not discovered?
I bet all the microscopic creatures we can’t see would be crazy scary
If we enlarged them to say, elephant size!!!!
Like, honey I blew up the microorganisms
That would be cool”
