Disneyworks

one of the things i wanted to do while we were in florida
was take a picture of the fireworks at the magic kingdom
i had the whole scene set up in my mind
looking up at the castle with falling fireworks overhead in the background

so we are driving to orlando one night with a generic
magic kingdom address typed into our gps
when we had the genius idea of calling chris stephens
he had some friends who he said were disney nerds
and supposedly knew just where to take us to see these disneyworks
so we get to an uber-nice neighborhood
sneak back around a house (whose owner they knew)
and found ourselves on their boat dock
over looking a lake
it was beautiful and perfect
until the first firework went off and it was about 20 miles away
not what i had in mind
but it turned out to be one of those situations
where you wouldn't have planned it that way
but it turned out better than you could have planned
how many people get to watch the disneyworks from a private boat dock
with a live mariachi band playing in the background
yeah, the fireworks were a little far away
but the moment was so peaceful and unique
so the pictures aren't what i had in mind
but i love them for the memory
